Polymer flooding is a major crude oil extraction technology, is further important meansof enhanced oil recovery. Oilfield development is aimed at EOR. After a primary productionand secondary recovery of the development process, it is now already in the latest waterflooding. In recent decades, polymer flooding technology has been further developed andutilized. Crude oil is still water flooding and polymer flooding-based at present, but with theincrease in the moisture content of oil, polymer flooding is increasingly becomingexploitation of the subject. Therefore, in-depth study of polymer flooding technology forenhanced oil recovery rates has an important impact.This review of relevant literature and based on the actual geological conditions ofDaqing Oilfield, for polymer flooding with water flooding carried out a systematic analysis,in principle, a comprehensive exposition of water flooding and polymer flooding on theflooding mechanism differences were setting up and solving water flooding and polymerflooding mathematical model, and they carried out a systematic study, and thus concluded that:(1) the main polymer flooding flooding mechanism is to improve the mobility ratio, expandthe drive for sweep efficiency, thereby enhancing oil recovery;(2) from a different effect onflooding comparative analysis, discusses polymer flooding and water flooding moisturecontent changes, after water flooding and polymer flooding oil remaining after the type anddistribution conduct research;(3) through the establishment of a conceptual model of waterflooding, polymer flooding oil recovery remaining after the change. Obtained by the aboveanalysis: In the right conditions, polymer flooding compared to water flooding, the remainingoil will be greatly less, to better improve the oil recovery.
