With the rapid development of the national economy, China is facing the grave situation of the transition from a big manufacturing country to a strong manufacturing country. Currently, as advanced manufacturing technology becomes more precise, more flexible, more networked, more intelligent and more global, numerical control system, the soul of the manufacturing equipment, will directly affect the development of China manufacturing industry. This paper studies CNC system software for processing needs using the methods of theoretical research and field trials.Firstly, by introducing two key technologies which are communication bus and motion control interface module, hardware part of the CNC system motion control platform is built. The communication protocols and applications of EtherMAC real-time Ethernet bus which the communication bus uses are introduced. The common interfaces of EM7202interface board which motion control interface module uses, such as servo motor interface module, PLC module, DA/AD conversion module and an external encoder interface module, are described.Secondly, software of the NC system is mainly discussed. Through introducing the operating system, the development environment and the development language, the software architecture of the "man-machine interface+shared memory data exchange module+real-time motion control kernel" is proposed, and several key technologies which are applied in the development process are discussed.Thirdly, according to the development trend of CNC system which is intelligent and paperless, an graphical automatic processing code generation system based on the demand for processing is proposed. By accessing CAD platform which is commonly used in the part design aspects, an automatic programming system is designed and developped.Finally, field application of CNC system which is applied to CNC boring machine in piston pin hole machining field is discussed. To further improve the CNC system, many problems such as automatic programming for the piston pin hole processing needs, the non-linear calibration of the gas-liquid servo system, system stability control and forward-looking continuous velocity planning, are field tested and theoretical analyzed during two years.Modular development ideas for CNC system have been proposed and some independent functional modules are packaged in this paper. By experiments, it is proved that both the accuracy and efficiency of the CNC system development and the portability of CNC system are furtherly improved through the ideas.According to the the intelligent development requirements of the high-end CNC system, this paper presents graphical automatic programming system for processing needs, designs and develops this system. Field experiments show that the automatic programming system improves the efficiency and accuracy of CNC system processing code programming, reduces the workload of the CNC machine operators and the difficulty of the operation of CNC machine tools.According to the on-site commissioning, accurate control of the gas-liquid servo system is discussed in detail.For accurate calibration of the system, high-precision, high stability and segment the issue of convergence, we do many field tests, propose appropriate solutions and solve several problems in the processing area of the piston pin hole.CNC boring system improves the level of the piston pin hole machining and enhances the market competitiveness of the enterprise.
