As an important traditional welding process in manufacturing industry, plays a very important role in industrial production. Driven by the rapid development of modern science and technology and many other factors, the welding manufacture technology is experiencing the transition from manual welding, automatic welding. The welding process automation, digitization, intelligent control can improve the welding production efficiency, improve welding production health and safety conditions, stability and ensure the welding quality greatly. So the welding automation is the development direction of welding field, is the inevitable trend of welding technical development.This topic is based on regional economic development needs for automated welding personnel, combined with the annular cylinder seam welding production situation and development needs, submerged arc welding equipment in general on the basis of its automated transformation of the welding process using PLC effectively controlled, so as to achieve automatic control of the welding process.Paper is divided into six main sections.The first part describes the development of automated welding current situation at home and abroad, automated welding expounded the necessity of regional economic development; combined with the actual needs of the welding production enterprise analysis and explanation of the topic to be studied purpose and content;The second part analyzes the key topics selected circumferential weld conventional welding methods, through a variety of methods of comparison that the welding production enterprises in the circumferential weld welding welding specific application of the method, elaborated submerged arc welding circumferential weld selected topics causes and briefly submerged arc welding in the circumferential weld process parameters and other basic knowledge;The third part is an annular weld PLC control system for the development of hardware conditions for submerged arc welding equipment general analysis shows, introduced universal SAW device parameters, and for the annular seam submerged arc automatic welding analysis shows general welding equipment in the welding cylinder circumferential weld insufficient time for system development and lay a foundation; The fourth part is the specific PLC control system design, control objects first expounded the basic process requirements, and then from the hardware aspects of the system need to increase the welding auxiliary equipment with a brief statement, the final welding process according to demand and the entire welding process using PLC welding process is controlled from the software and hardware design of both written and girth weld submerged arc welding process to adapt the PLC control system;The fifth part is the girth weld developed PLC control system for effective simulation of inspection, and analysis shows the experimental results.
