Mechanical pressing is one of the most popular methods of oil extraction from vegetable oilseeds at present, also in sesame seeds. However, there are many problem in oil press such as high maintenance, high energy consumption, low productivity. This can not meet the needs of users. This article mainly discusses design of the squeezing structure of twin-screw expeller based on the sesame press characteristics, two counter-rotating parallel screws are horizontally assembled, with one directly beneath another. Its squeezing chamber adopt double-step and multiple-stage form. The article also discusses the design of virgin cage on a certain degree.Design of the main parameters of the twin-screw press are introduced. The calculation method of the pressing chamber volume are put forward. Modeling and virtual assembly of the pressing screw shaft are complied by using3D design software to ensure precise positioning of the pressing screw. Through theoretical analysis, Pressing screw structure is the combination of stagger and parallel.Manufacturing prototype machine and doing sesame press performance test, the results show that the machine production capacity can reach more than86%of the rated output. The oil-in-cake rate could be as low as8%. It could reduce about20%of the energy consumption compared with a single-screw press. Sesame crushing tests are made according to the change of the size of the last three cone rings. The results show that the previous design is reasonably practicable. Finally, comparison tests are made according to the form of pressing screw combination.
