Consideration Ecological Thought From Constructive Post-modernism

Since the1960s, human beings have being caught in an unprecedented trouble caused by increasingly ecological crisis. All governments and public are actively working for resolution and reconsidering the relationship between human and nature from a new value orientation. Constructive ecological thought of post-modernism, representative of which are D.R.Griffin、John B. Cobb, Jr. Charlene Spretnak, argues that it is essential to resolve ecological problems in reality. Based on recent development of modern natural science and The overall organic theory of A.N.Whitehead, it provides a completely new ecological thought from a new perspective on relationship between human and nature. This article which consists of three chapters analyzes the constructive ecological thought of post-modernism. Beginning with sources of constructive post-modern philosophy, the first chapter explains its content and how it reflects and transcends modernity, further analyzes philosophical foundation and real need of constructive ecological thought of post-modernism, thus generally presenting background and philosophical origin of this ecological thought. The second chapter is the main body. Starting with criticizing mechanical ecological thought and modifying the post-modern one, it explains the formation of constructive ecological thought of post-modernism, then intensively discusses the content of this ecological thought, including Relationship between theory and the whole organism、The human and the nature has the equivalence、Ecological Marxism and the green movement The steady-state economy and so on. The last chapter presents the general evaluation of constructive ecological thought of post-modernism, which not only transfers from "conquer nature" to "protect nature" but also construct ecological civilization and realize "The garden type residence", concludes its theoretical meaning and practical value, and points out its theoretical dilemma, though the defects cannot obscure the virtue the overall organic theory provided by constructive ecological thought of post-modernism, offers a completely perspective and thinking mode helping us treat ecological problems.
