UV curable inkjet ink combines advantages of UV curing technology and ink-jet printing, and it is economic, energy-saving, environmental protection and convenient. It becomes the development trend of printing ink. Therefore, it has a great development prospect. In Drupa2012, Canon Oce, Xerox, Hewlett-Packard, Epson and other foreign companies launched UV curable inkjet ink which was mature in technology. But now our research work is still in its infancy in this field in China. In the domestic market, UV ink mainly relies on imports and the price is expensive. Hence, the study of UV curable inkjet ink has a very importantly practical significance. This thesis used modern experimental design methods to design formulations for UV curable inkjet ink. It selected the raw materials of UV curable inkjet ink, and optimized ink formulation through a large number of comparatively complex tests. Besides, it also studied the different types and content of monomer, oligomer and photoinitiator and their impact on the performance of the UV curable inkjet ink.(1) Used uniform design formula method to optimize the proportion of mixed monomer. For magenta UV curable inkjet ink, when m(EOEOEA):m(NPGDA): m(EO3-TMPTA)=0.657:0.045:0.298, the ink properties were better; for blue UV curable inkjet ink, when m(EOEOEA):m(TMPTA)=0.665:0.335, it had better ink performance; for yellow UV curable inkjet ink, when m(EOEOEA):m(TPGDA): m(EO3-TMPTA)=0.662:0.078:0.260, the ink had better performance.(2) Utilized random distribution point method to study the bascially proportional relationship of color paste, oligomer and monomer mixture firstly. When m(magenta color paste):m(6361-100):m(monomer)=0.080:0.320:0.600, the magenta UV curable inkjet ink had best performance; When m(blue color paste):m(6361-100): m(monomer)=0.131:0.269:0.600, the blue UV curable inkjet ink owned best performance; when m(yellow color paste):m(6361-100):m(monomer)=0.080:0.320:0.600, the yellow curable inkjet ink possessed optimum performance.(3) Applied simplex centeroid design method to study the effect of photoinitiator on light curing time in UV ink. For magenta UV curable inkjet ink, when the content of the single photoinitiator TPO was14%, the light curing time was less than1.5s; when compounded photoinitiator m(TPO):m(Irgacure819):m(Irgacure907)=0.418:0.276:0.306, the content of which was11%, the light curing time was less than1.5s. For blue UV curable inkjet ink, when the content of the single photoinitiator Irgacure819was10%, its light curing time was3s; when multiplexed photoinitiator m(Irgacure819):m(TPO):m(Irgacure907)=0.315:0.475:0.210, and the content of them was12%, the fast curing time was less than1.5s. For yellow UV curable inkjet ink, when the content of the single photoinitiator TPO was12%, the light curing time was3s; when compounded photoinitiator m(TPO):m(Irgacure184): m(Irgacure907)=0.529:0.139:0.332, and the content of them was11%, the fast light curing time was less than1.5s.(4) Compared the optimized formulation of the magenta UV curable inkjet ink with imported UVA and UVB ink. Changed types of the oligomer and tested their ink performance. Made them into film, and then tested the hardness, gloss, rub resistance, adhesion resistance, acetone and alcohol wipe resistance, acid and alkali resistance. The results showed that the ink we prepared without any additives had high gloss close to but slightly lower than UVA and UVB ink; the hardness of the cured film was the same as UVA and UVB ink cured film and PUA200synthesized by us had the highest film hardness; the rub resistance of UVA and UVB ink was best; The adhesion force and chemical resistance of the inks we prepared were just as good as UVA and UVB ink but the cured film of PUA200and PUA400were poor in resistance to acetone and alcohol.
