In the modern industrial production, with the increasingly demand ofproduction continuity and high efficiency, some important equipments are introducedwhich are characterized by the complicated internal structure, compact appearance andsimplex function. In the TCM unit, the disc carrousel emerges because of demand whichcan realize the continuous rolling with its perfect interior design. However, its probabilityof accident is high because the equipment works continuously and there is no the backupdevice configuration. Once the accidents happen,the equipment unit will close down for along time. With the on-line monitoring technology, the maintenance of equipmentachieves the fundamental revolution from the plan-periodical to status-predicted repairs.The online status monitoring can avoid the sudden fault of mechanical equipment,preventing the big malignant equipment accidents which affect the production. Therefore,we can prepare to maintain components and arrange the maintenance plan in time, whichovercomes the unnecessary of economic loss and equipment characteristic decline.This paper introduces the composition of disc carrousel in TCM unit as well as thefunction of its important components. Against the other production line which has thesame equipment fault and losing. Introduced the whole system design ideas and specificnetwork structure, including the choice of sensors, the choice of the sensor’s position, Theprocess of data acquisition and transmission. Emphatically elaborated the coiling machinemonitoring system works: from the vibration theory, the specific data analysis, tosuccessfully discover equipment failure. The database is established by studying typicalvibration characteristics in each step of the whole rolling process using the long timedomain waveform, and the repair can be predicted to avoid equipment failure through theobservation of vibration wave and equipment motion state analysis.According to the actual operation situation, the vibration alarm value should beoptimized to play the maximum effect of machine, simultaneously,the deficiency of thesystem is also uncovered in order to improve further and perfect the system function.
