Endocrine disrupting compounds (EDCs) have drawn wide attention for its unique pathogenic mechanism. Sewage and industrial waste water is the main source of EDCs in water environment. There are10species of common EDCs which can be divided into three categories:phthalate esters substance [dimethyl phthalate (DMP), diethyl phthalate (DEP), dibutyl phthalate (DBP), di (2-ethylhexyl) phthalate (DEHP)]; phenolics [nonylphenol (NP), bisphenol A (BPA)]; and estrogens [estrone (El),17-β-estradiol (E2), estriol (E3) and synthetic ethinyl estradiol (EE2)].In this paper, different pretreatment methods were used for the three categories of EDCs. Headspace Solid Phase Micro Extraction (HS-SPME) and Solid Phase Extraction (SPE) were used for the phthalalcs esters substances, and the effect of the above different pretreatment methods has been compapred. HS-SPME pretreatment method was used for phenolics and SPE pretreatment method was used for estrogens. For the determination, GC-ECD was used for quantitative analysis, and GC-MS was used for qualitative analysis as a supplementary method. Parameters of the two pretreatments and the corresponding conditions of gas chromatography are optimized. Limits of detection of DMP, DEP, DBP and DEHP were0.01μg/L,0.02μg/L,0.31μg/L,0.09μg/L, respectively. The relative standard deviation values obtained were within1.74%~2.81%and the recoveries ranged between84%~107%for all samples. Limits of detection of NP and BPA were0.04μg/L,0.06μg/L, respectively. The relative standard deviation values obtained were5.47%~6.17%and recoveries ranged between91.95%~121.85%. Limits of detection of El, E2, E3and EE2were0.01μg/L,0.03μg/L,0.02μg/L,0.03μg/L, respectively. The relative standard deviation values obtained were3.21%~10.45%and recoveries ranged between88%~114%.Experiments selected Nanjing’s lakes, rivers and four municipal sewage treatment plants’water as samples for analysis, the above EDCs can all be detected, and the mass distribution of the10kinds of EDCs is in the degree of ng/L~μg/L. At the same time, using the model to estimate the EDCs’s effluent pollutants and ecological risk of natural water and sewage treatment plant, the order of the three categories EDCs was estrogens followed by phenolics, and then phthalate esters. It was suggested that E1, EE2, BPA and E3should be preferentially controlled in municipal sewage treatment plant.
