Apsaras is an aesthetic element of Cambodian tradition and is one of the largest symbols of Cambodia’s art and culture. The Apsaras is the costume of Angkorean, the Khmer Empire era which expressed the big evolution from Indian culture to Khmer culture. The costume was an inspiration to many researchers and scholars focusing on modern fashion design and they found that it must be a creation of the traditional Khmer. The combination of traditional Apsaras in modern costume, in particular ladies costume within international forms designs brings out the visual space of the traditional Khmer costume and shows that it is a unique aesthetic element of Cambodian region located in Southeast Asia and creates a new innovative point in modern fashion designs.This paper focuses on the application of the art of Khmer’s Apsaras in the design of modern ladies costume and the study uses charming elements and jewelry comprising the tops and belt, a necklace which flows across two line on the chest known as gorget, flows down the waist to the part where the top meets the belt and is then connected to the saorong, all adding up to the aesthetic elements and techniques of a single Khmer culture. The design also work on its artistic and aesthetic value in modern costume giving fashion a gorgeous style with everlasting charming of Apsara element. Cambodian tradition has reappeared in fashion design with the development of inheritance of traditional elements to create a condensation of charm. Change the use of jewelry and play in the new style Apsara in fashion design to the domestic people to focus on new challenges and spirit of the Cambodian modern clothing in order to promote the splendid Cambodia clothing out of the country, to the world of modern fashion hall, only to make the world of contemporary clothing from our nation to see more excellent traditional Cambodian culture, Cambodian traditional costumes can really be the world.
