Because complex occurrence conditions of coal and rock seam, and roller’s nonlinear load in cutting coal,it is difficult to obtain the dynamic characteristics of roller in working. In order to get the dynamiccharacteristics of roller in cutting coal, after studies finite element theory in depth, this paper puts forwardstrategy that applies the simulation of ls-dyna software in roller’s cutting coal,after full study cut teeth’s cutmechanism and the damage rule of coal, the constitutive model of roller’s cut coal was set up, and get thedynamic characteristics of roller’s cutting coal by solving it. And in the MATLAB software using experienceformula calculates the load of cut teeth and roller,this paper analyzes load of different working condition ofthe roller,that are of great significance for the guidance of the roller’s design and the Shearer’s optimization.This paper research the key technical problems of the shearer cut teeth’s positioning, deduces a newlocating method, and in the pro/E software the table is established and the assembly of all the cut teeth issimply and accurately realized by parameters method, that saves a lot of time for the modeling of the shearer’sroller. The thesis in post-processing ls-dyna PREPOST using contour and animation analysise the simulationresults of coal, the paper analyzes the simulation’s destruction rules of the coal.
