For social development and national economy the Mineral resources is irreplaceable.Butit’s also an inevitable reality that the mining bring Mine disasters. Mine tremor in faults oftenoccurs when mining approach faults, which caused by faults happen to crack and slip.Thesemine tremor have many features like more energy released,big magnitude deep hypocenter andgreat destructive.With the increasing of mining depth and range of Yan Chong mining areas,pressure in mine emerge more frequently. From June2001to March2007, Dong Tan mine hadoccurred five mine tremors. This paper bases on the analysis of numerous mine tremor in DongTan coal, the tectonic stress as the main driving force forms horst structures where theseismogenic structures come into being between the faults.Mining cause hypocenter formed anddeveloping. According to the mining practice and geologic condition of NO.1035typical workface, this paper especially studys on the mechanisms and the prediction of mine tremor causedby horst structure by Field Research, theoretical analysis, mechanical analysis, numericalsimulation and so forth.we acquired a formula of the roof’s first span basing on the position of the maximumequivalent shear of roof determined by elastic shear beams.The first weighting and periodicalweighting of stope roof existing in horstfault are analysed with the elastic-plastic shear beammodel. When the maximum equivalent shear reaches the shear limit of faults, faults slip,release energy and occurs mine tremor. Through the analysis of numerical simulationresults,when the mining of NO.1305work face approached horstfaults, it was affected bytectonic stress,old fractures tremors with the release of enormous energies and the disturbance ofthe coal cutter,which lead to the occurrence of mine earthquake.Using the seismic monitoringsystem with focused zone to detect the laws of fault activities when the face pass throughthe fault.The research shows that the value of b has better negative correlation with the totalenergy of the same period mine earthquake.When working face approach horst fault, the faultbecome active.Mine tremor happens frequently. When working surface is in a fault line,there‘smore mine tremor energy released and a steep increase in times of mine tremor.When workingsurface is away from horst fault, the energy released and times of mine tremor.
