Heterocyclic compounds are a class of compounds which contain ring structure consisting of carbon atom and oxygen, sulfur, nitrogen, and other non-carbon atoms. The nitrogen-containing heterocycles are the key structure of many natural products, such as alkaloid, etc, showed significant biological and pharmaceutical activities. Additionally, the nitrogen-containing heterocycles are important building blocks which are wildly used in the synthesis of drugs, pesticides, dyes, functional materials etc. Thus, the efficient construction of nitrogen-containing heterocycles is of great importance and attacted much attention in recent years. We have developed three types of construction nitrogen-containing heterocycles under the promotion of metal salts:1. the Pd(OAc)2catalyzed heck reaction to synthesis pyridine compounds;2. Cul catalyzed decarbonylation for the synthesis of tryptanthrin;3. The copper salts catalyzed C-H activation reaction of isatin and2-phenylpyridine. This Thesis is consists of three parts:In the first part, the synthesis methods of the4-styrylpyridine complexs and the development of heck reaction are reviewed. The synthesis of4-styrylpyridine compounds by the transition metal-catalyzed heck reaction is studied. In the second part, the synthesis and applications of tryptanthrin is reviewed; we have developed a efficient synthesis method of tryptanthrin from simple isatins under the catalysis of Cu and Ag salts, afforded the corresponding product with good yield. In the third part, the development of C-H activation reactions are reviewed; we have explored the coupling of isatin and2-phenyl-pyridine via Cu salts catalyzed C-H activation reaction. The above mentioned reactions which we have developed have remarkable advantages such as simple operation, fewer reaction steps, mild reaction conditions etc, providing facile access to the synthesis of nitrogen-containing heterocyclic compounds.
