Abstract/Summary:
With the development of society, science and technology was processed. And the new method of wastewater was also proposed particularly invalid using normal ways. Recently titanium electrode was used widely in the electrochemical application. There are prospects in industry and agriculture wastewater. Electrolysis is the electrochemical process in electrolyte with current density. Essence of electrolysis is that hydroxyl radical is reflected with materials in wastewater. The strong oxidation ability of hydroxyl radical can be used to oxidize organic substances and other impurities in water, decreases the COD (Chemical Oxygen Demand) value. It can be also making hazardous substances to innoxious substance.Systematic analysis of the varieties and characteristics of the pickled wastewater was conducted. Considering high COD, complex composition and recalcitrant organic compounds in pickled wastewater and effectiveness and ease in operation of electrolysis, an schemes of electrolysis system by DSA electrode (Dimensionally Stable Anodes) was established.Experiments were conducted to study the changes in chromaticity, COD, ORP (Oxidation-Reduction Potential), and ACC (Available Chlorine Concentration) of pickled wastewater. The objective of this paper is to advance the knowledge of the influence of pH, current density and reflection time on the electrolysis efficiency. The maximum removal efficiencies of COD under optimal operating conditions, pH4.09, current density of14.96A/dm2and operating time of26h were56.72%.The chromaticity was also changed clearly. So far, many investigations have been focused on direct anodic oxidation of pollutants in electrochemical treatment. It should be noted that chloride is widely presented in many wastewater and potentially, it can be oxidized to from chlorine during an electrochemical oxidation process, which may be a promising technology for the treatment of organic wastewater due to increase of chromaticity and COD removal. At present, there are some problems in the study of ORP as control parameters, because the researches are usually developed in the invariable temperature. The effect of ORP as control parameter was studied specially in some experiments carried on in this paper. It was carried out in the invariable temperature in the different current density and pH conditions. This paper brought forward that the control parameter using ORP was accurate and reliable. In addition, outflow COD concentration and the time that ORP concave value appeared was connected, and the speed that ORP in curve ascended related with the COD concentration during the degradation. As showed in this paper, the electrolysis by DSA electrode was usefully and has broad prospects.
