Since heteropoly acid has high catalytic activity, high selectivity, good stability, fast regeneration, environmental pollution, it can act as homogeneous and heterogeneous reagent, and even as phase-transfer catalyst, which can be used in aromatics alkylmethylation reaction, dealkylation reaction, dehydration/combination reaction, redox reaction, open-loop reaction, condensation reaction, addition action, etherification reaction, and so on. Heteropoly acid has an extensive applications in the catalytic kingdom, due to its unique acidity, versatility, uniform reaction-field and "false liquid behavior".In this thesis, on the condition of catalyzing by phosphotungsticacid and silicotungsticacid, the aromatic esterification of benzoic acid and phenol, and the esterification of crylicacid and ethylene glycol monomethyl ether have been investigated.Chapter1:The structure and characteristics of heteropolyacid, as well as the mechanism and research progress of esterification reaction catalyzed by heteropolyacid have been systematically summarized. The content and significance of the research has been put forward.Chapter2:Substituted phenol benzoate is a class of chemical products, which can be widely used in industry, for example act as antioxidants, photosensitizer, etc., as well as an important intermediate for synthesizing the fine chemical products hydroxy aryl ketones. The direct esterification reaction and transesterification reaction of benzoic acid and phenol catalyzed by heteropolyacid have been investigated to synthesize a series of substituted phenol benzoate. Its structure was characterized by means of NMR and FTIR. The experiments show that the transesterification method can also obtain the aromatic esterification product and avoid the oxidation of the raw material phenol.Chapter3:Methoxyethylacrylate is a very useful functional polymer monomer and an important raw material for synthesizing acrylate rubber, which is widely applied in the coatings industry, special adhesive, automotive industry and so on. In this thesis, the methoxyethylacrylate has been synthesized from acrylic acid and ethylene glycol monomethyl ether by direct esterification catalyzed by silicotungstic acid. Experimental results show that the silicotungstic acid has high catalytic efficiency, easy operation, dual advantage both liquid acid catalysis and solid acid catalyzed, high recycling rate. In addition, no solvent is added during the course of the reaction, which the reaction is environmental protection.
