The rocket sled is a kind of test facility used to research and production for national defense and civil industry. In this paper, the point is numerical simulating and analyzing the process of high-speed water entry of the rocket sled’s water brake structure.Firstly, it was reviewed that the research and development of the water brake and water-entry structure, then established the mathematical model and the geometric model, next using LS—DYNA finite element analysis. Software of Fluid-structure Interaction algorithm, simulating and analyzing the rocket sled’s water brake structure high speed into water’s dynamic response characteristics, including:supercavitation, the water upheaving, splashing and so on. Finally, using PORPOST post-processing software obtained the speed-curve, the speed-acceleration curve and the pressure-wave picture. Especially, get a group of very clear splashing physical pictures in the high speed conditions. According to the theory and the numerical results acquired the general rule of the process in the water brake high speed into water, and pointed out the water brake structure the location of the maximum tolerance stress.In a word, in this paper the results of numerical analysis in a certain extent provided technical supports for rocket sled’s water brake’s mechanism design. Additionally, and it was also useful for the dynamics analysis of other similar objects high-speed water entering.
