Today, it’s the age full of competition and challenge for textile industry. The highly developing social economy, the continuously shortened product upgrading cycle, the increased labor and materials cost, the further demanded products qualities, the diversified product catalog, the enhanced environmental awareness and some other factors have tested the long-standing textile industry. The mutura vortex spinning (MVS) technology were born under the circumstances. It made a high whirling vortex field with the help of the compressed air, condensed the single drafted fibers, twisted the fiber free-end and made yarns. It congregated the roving, spinning, winding and packing processes, finally became a new completely automatic, highly efficient, short processing procedures, environmental and fine-products spinnig techology.By means of experiment, this paper discussed the yarn properties, fabric knitting, dyeing technique, fabric performance and softness finishing treatment to provide some certain references for further exploration.First of all, we selected five kinds of MVS knitting yarns(19.7tex R,17.9tex R,17.9tex R/T,18.4tex R/A and19.7tex R/N MVS knitting yarns) as study objectives, testing the yarns’ properties, knitting one piece of single fabrics (tuck stitch and plain stitch) and another double face fabric(interlock stitch) for each yam according to the yarn properties testing results, doing the souring and dyeing process, and comparing the raw fabrics’ primary parameters with dyeing samples to prepare for the following testing. In order to explore the MVS yarn products’ performance, we tested and compared the fundamental wearing performance of the19.7tex R and17.9tex R/T MVS interlock knitted fabrics, finally concluded that they both had excellent color fastness ability;17.9tex R/T MVS interlock knitted fabric was good at crease resistance and drapability but bad anti-fuzzing pilling and permeability;19.7tex R MVS interlock knitted fabric had better fleeciness, drape formulation and anti-fuzzing pilling ability, except the poor longitudinal dimension stability and the soft hand-touch properties. The paper focused on improving the19.7tex R MVS interlock knitted fabric’s softness properties. Compound finishing treatment were selected with the cellulose enzyme plus softener finishing. According to both the single factor and the orthogonal experiments, we obtained the softener finishing’s optical parameter:softener usage(o.w.f)4%,50℃,40min; and also obtained the the cellulose enzyme finishing’s optical parameter:enzyme usage(o.w.f)1.5%, bath ratio1:10, pH value5.5,40℃,50min and the ultrasound equipment Jac-4020’s "high" level. In the last part of this paper, we compared the samples’ softness properties by different finishing method (cellulose enzyme finishing, softener finishing, ultrasound+cellulose enzyme finishing, cellulose enzyme+softener finishing, ultrasound+cellulose enzyme+softener finishing), and evaluated the comprehensive wearing performance by fuzzy comprehensive evaluation. The results show that both the cellulose enzyme+softener finishing and ultrasound+cellulose enzyme+softener finishing are the excellent softness treatment in all finishing methods, especially the later one. So in real production or research, we could decide to chose either of them based on our needs and conditions.
