Multilayer junction woven fabric is making use of several system warp and weft to consist of two or more than two layers, each independent warp and weft yarn to interweave, junction and formation of multi-layer fabric structure in a certain way between layer and layer. This kind of structure retained the traditional laminated composite materials’high rigidity, high specific strength, corrosion resistance, fatigue, etc., and at the same time, because of its structure’s integrity, it has very good mechanical strength in the thickness direction of the tension or thickness direction under the action of vertical shear force, and the possibility of breaking down be reduced to the minimum, significantly improve the performance between the layers.With the deeply research about various performance of textile structural composites, the preparation and properties’research of textile structural composites preform has also become the focus of the present study. At present, research for thermal insulation textile structural composites fabrication, is mainly to the whole hollow fabric, but in view of the whole hollow fabric also has some disadvantages, it is a great significance to prepare thermal insulation fabric and analysis its performance. This paper adopts the special structure of the multilayer junction woven fabric to achieve both has the thermal insulation performance, also have some mechanical properties of the new fabric.First, This paper based on honeycomb weave, choose a certain junction way to design structure, and then according to fabric specification, choose loom (electronic jacquard machine), and briefly introduced the electronic jacquard machine, completed the electronic jacquard machine modification. Then process design and weaving, complete multilayer junction woven fabric’s design and preparation, and finally obtain multilayer junction woven fabric that structure is stable, appearance is uniform. And in weaving process to resolve some processing problems, such as warp tension control, the let-off mechanism adjustment, yarn bonding, etc.To fix multilayer junction woven fabric structure, and then section the fabric, collect section images and combined with image processing technology to observe actual fabric structure yarn form and section shape, and found in multilayer junction organization,1) Joint node position selection is reasonable, the interlayer organization interweave less, interlayer has a long floating, which fabric is fluffy and exist more space, thereby achieve the desired design.2) Weft of different layers is basically in the same section.In the end, test the performance of the multilayer junction woven fabric, is mainly to the fabric heat preservation performance and interlaminar performance, the results found that:insulation performance of multilayer junction woven and the overall hollow fabric’s heat preservation performance has no difference. For interlaminar properties, this article uses fabric electronic tensile strength tester to test the interlaminar performance, the result shows that as textile structural composites fabrication, the comprehensive performance of multilayer junction woven is better than the whole hollow fabric’s, it proves that the scheme of this topic is feasible.
