3D laser scanning technology is a new technology of surveying and mapping, regarding asanother surveying technology revolution after the GPS technology.3D laser scanner has becomethe important direction of surveying and mapping instruments. The technique for spatial data asof the effective means, the rapid, accurate, no contact measurement in many fields such asadvantage is playing a more and more important role. Along with the science and technologyinnovation, promote the new methods of each field work development.This topic using3D laser scanning technology to realize the offshore drilling platform ofthe3D visualization and information management. The main content of this article are asfollows:First introduced the3D laser scanning the basic principles of technology and3D GIS, thispaper expounds the basic concept of a cloud of the gain of the process and the matters needingattention. A cloud of principle about joining together, using the cyclone and geomagic softwareto realize a little cloud joining together, and coordinate transformation and modeling, thecompletion of the3D GIS offshore drilling platform in the construction of the model. Using the3D rendering engine Openscenegragh,3D visualization technology, human-computer interactiontechnique to build a3D GIS platform. Use of LOD (Levels of Detail) technology and dynamicscheduling technology will build good3D model of this subject development to load the TopoGIS software, so as to realize the drilling platform in GIS in the software of3D visualizationshow, roaming, inquires the edit properties,3D measurement,the layer management, spatialanalysis, incident handling, and other functions, meet the offshore drilling platform ofinformation management and improve the level of safety drilling platform.
