Polyoxometalates (POMs) have been widely studied for their structural versatility andpotential application in many fields, such as catalysis, medicine, sorption and materialsscience. In this paper, six new compounds have been hydrothermally synthesized andcharacterized by IR, single crystal X-ray diffraction, PXRD and TG, etc. All of thesecompounds were built upon S-containing pyridine-based cations and polytungstat clusters.Reaction conditions for synthesis of these compounds such as material ratio, temperature, pH,reaction time and cooling rate have been studied. Counter cations in these compounds are4,4’-Dipyridyl disulflde (PySSPy), dipyridin-4-ylsulfane (PySPy), pyridin-4-ol (4-PyOH),Pyridine (4-Py), Pyridine-4-thiol (4-PySH) and4,4’-dimethyl-bipyridine (mbpy);polyoxoanions are typical Keggin-and Dawson-type heteropolytungstate structures,respectively.1. Three supramolecular cluster compounds consisting of sulfur-containing pyridine andKeggin structures have been synthsized.(PySPy)3[PW12O40]2·H2O (1)(PySPy)(PySSPy)[PW12O40]·H2O (2)(PySSPy)3[PW12O40]2·6H2O (3)2. Two polyoxometalate cluster compounds consisting of sulfur-containing pyridine andDawson structures have been synthsized. In situ PySSPy reaction with of the S-S bondcleavage was observed.(4-PyOH)4(4-Py)3[P2W18O62]·4H2O (4)(Ag2-4-PyS)4(AgO)4[P2W18O60]2·15H2O (5)3. One polyoxometalate cluster compound has been synthesized by using mbpy and[PW12O40]3-anion.(mbpy)3[PW12O40](6)... |
