With the development of science and technology, NC machine tools and many otherhigh-tech equipments are developed in the high speed and high precision. Planetary rollerscrew with its high speed, high efficiency and over loading characteristics has been widelyapplied in this occasion, and gradually takes place of ball screw in high precision and highspeed linear transmission field. But compared with the foreign countries have studied it for along time and have a deeper study in basic theory, our research in related fields is still ininitial stage, the basic theory is not perfect and there isn’t a mature product on the market.This paper mainly analyzed on the running stability, modal analysis and load rating and so on,for the following optimal structure designing and the production laid a strong foundation.At first, this paper analyzed the load sharing behavior of the gear system at both ends ofthe roller which is one of influence factors of running stability, built the mathematical modelof the load sharing coefficient and found the impact method of the manufacturing and settingup errors include screw, nut and rollers to the coefficient. And then by introducing andanalyzing some methods to share the load we found a better method that used the elasticpieces to support the uniform to achieve the goal. Secondly, used the ANSYS to analysis themodal of the planetary roller screw, and the first ten natural frequencies were calculated.Thirdly, the load rating includes the static load rating and dynamic load rating was modeledand calculated, and then compared with the related products abroad,.The innovation of this paper is that as following: through the analysis of the load sharingfor the gear system at the ends of the roller, obtained the influence of each error to it, and putforward an opinion to improve the design. Then analyzed the modal of the planetary rollerscrew, and the first ten natural frequencies were calculated which can lay an foundation forthe following analysis of dynamic characteristics and can also put forward an opinion toimprove the design. At last built the model of load rating and got the result of one series, itcould gave some suggestions for the analysis of life and the design of loading the press whenrunning.
