Nowaday, with the rapid development of world industry, quality has become the most core competitive of enterprise development. An enterprise wants to win in the market full of fierce competition only when it has its own world-class quality management method. CMI company, as the subsidiary of FSK company which is one of the famous top500global corporation, its strategic goal is to become the world’s first display panel suppliers, and quality is the key factor to achieve this goal. In the nineteen fifties, A Japanese doctor named Taguchi Hyun put forward a robust design, through the establishment of orthogonal table, using a small amount of the experiment times and cost can find the optimal parameter combination, and can significantly improve anti-interference ability of product, therefore, the robust design method (Taguchi method) has become the first choice of the CMI company to improve product quality effectively.Painting is one of the improtant way of3C product surface treatment process, which plays a key role in daily life. The products colorfully painted are feasts for consumers’eyes, this painting can also protect the products and prolong their service life. With the introduction of automatic painting equipment, compared with the traditional manual spraying, automatic coating has many significant features,such as high utilization ratio of coating, low energy consumption, good product performance, high production efficiency and so on.This paper discusses that during the rear cover of Notebook injected by the long carbon fiber raw material imported Robot coating process technology project, we should apply the Taguchi experimental method theory of quality tools, combine with the actual coating process parameters to establish orthogonal table. Through the establishment of robust design, we can find the optimal parameters of Robot coating for quality improvement, which reduces the blind test times, greatly saves the test time and cost, guarantees the requirement of customer L for the production of Notebook long carbon fiber rear lid in time. This study is a successful application and practice on the application of6Sigma method in solving the problem of technical innovation, which lays a solid foundation for the application of quality tools in the future work.
