The high-speed CNC cutting process is a process which transforms the programto products. According to Taguchi Method, the CNC cutting process system isidealization when the programmed dimensions or geometries can be applied toproducts without any interference. However, the dimension or geometry of a productmay vary in accuracy due to incomplete parameter design of control factors or theinterference of noise factors. In order to adapt the requirements of high quality, thisStudy using the Taguchi method to optimize the process parameters to reduce theimpact of the noise factors, to improve the stability quality of shaft products.To solve this problem, this study provides optimal processing parameters forquality characteristics of CNC cutting process based on Taguchi quality loss functions,and the viewpoint of minimizing total quality losses. Determine the experimentalfactors and use the orthogonal array to design experiments, run the experiments andanalyze the experimental data to find out the key factors and optimal levels. Took anexperiment to verify the correctness and validity of the levels of control factors, andapply in production. After using of the optimal parameters to cutting the shaftproducts, the percent of pass has been increased from78%to92%, both in economicand production, has a lot of improvements.This study is not only improve the quality of T-company turning shaft, the resultsof this study can also provide a theoretical basis and application of guidelines forimprovement in other associated works to future researchers and provide a referencedesign of the CNC turning process parameters.
