Since the1970s,with the rapid development of modern technologies such as aerospace, missiles, atomic energy, high-speed vehicles, it have put higher requirements for the use of material. The research of impact protective composites, including bullet-proof armors of armored vehicles, body protective armors,With three-dimensional structure fabric of aramid as reinforcement, and used rubber as matrix made into kevlar fabric composites. According to the design model, impact resistance of the metal plate and silica foam with cushioning performance were added to the composite plate. The weaving of aramid interval-based three-dimensional fabric, surface treatment of aramid fiber and the manufacture of diversified combined impact composite were been researched primary. The test of performance for aramid fabric based rubber and polyester fabric based rubber laminates were been finished.The topic chosen1500D aramid1414fiber as raw material, interval-based three-dimensional fabric have been weaved in traditional sample loom. Chosen plain based organizations,it’s a kind of angle-interlock structure woven fabric, which connected each layers itself, and single-layer total fabric tightness was92.5percent, No.100metric reed.To take full advantage of aramid performance of high strength and high modulus, improve the bond strength between Aramid fiber and the matrix, that can improved the performance of composite, surface modification of Kevlar is necessary. Five different methods of chemical treatment have been used on Kevlar surface treatment in the subject, and monofilament breaking strength, scanning electron microscopy, test of contact angle and infrared spectrometer have been used to characterized fiber strength, micro-surface morphology, infiltration and changes of absorption bands of Kevlar surface groups before and after modification.Three plate have been designed in order to compare different materials and combination of multi-composite structure impact performance. When making plates, fabric reinforced rubber composites curing temperature is160℃, Curing time is15min, pressure is5MPa,and with the impact resistance of the metal plate and a silicone foam had cushioning performance been added to the gap between three-dimensional woven fabric.10-layerSuperimposed plain weave fabric composite laminates have been used to test the mechanical properties of composite materials, which is rubber-based composite materials, Kevlar fabric and polyester fabric rubber-based composite materials. The tensile and flexural strength tests been selected to characterize the mechanical properties of composite materials. Fabric rubber-based composite material is linear elastic material, the tensile stress and tensile modulus of elasticity of Kevlar laminate is much larger than polyester laminates, the tensile elongation of polyester laminate, when it broken, is greater than the aramid laminates, these results was obtained through Tensile testing; with the strain increases, the bending load-displacement curve of aramid fabric composite materials and polyester fabric was increase to the maximum stress and then gradually decreases, Kevlar composite bending stress and bending elasticity modulus was smaller than polyester composite’s, kevlar composites had better flexibility, these results got by testing bending properties of composite materials.The impact-resistant materials combined with several components tested performance of bullet-proof in China Ordnance Equipment Quality Supervision and Testing Center. Three of the target plates were all penetrated but have no stratification and the integrity of the target plates were not damaged. The result showed the three-dimensional structure design of the Kevlar reinforcement in the impact-resistant materials combined with several components to improve the inter-laminar shear properties and the silicone foam may play a role in absorbing. The steel plate of2.2mm cut to10mm wide after the bullet-proof ballistic performance degradation. Resistance to external shear got weaken when bullet-proof steel plate was been cut into thin strips, therefore, the ballistic performance got much reduce. However as the composite target plate and foam cushioning foam molding body wasn’t a entirety Foam bonding hadn’t have an effect on the steel,steel plate took a shift under the external force, So there didn’t achieve the best results for bullet-proof.
