Acrylie copolymer emulsion is a kind of polymerized emulsion with excellent performance and wide usage.In this esperiment we will synthesize a kind of acrylic adhesive by pre-emulsification and semi-continuous adding method using in the textile printing.Recently the acrylic emulsion is syntheticed by ethylhexyl acrylate, butyl acrylat and cross-linking monomer.the performance of adhesive improveed by changing cross-linking monomer.The general method is added n-hydroxymethyl acrylamide or hydroxyethyl acrylate as cross-linking momomer,but it release free formaldehyde harming people and environment. adhesive with HEA needs high temperature in curing,so it consumes large energy. Someone replace n-hydroxymethyl acrylamide by epichlorohydrin and acrylamide or acrylic synthesising self-crosslinking monomer with no formaldehyde release. But the epichlorohydrin can absorb the organochlorines,and it also harm environment.In view of the above problems this experiment from the point of environmental protection, synthesis a new acrylie copolymer adhesive without formaldehyde by choosing a kind of active monomer with non-toxic and many reactive groups,draw synthesis process and discuss it’s application performance.In this paper the acrylie copolymer emulsion synthesised by potassium persulfate (KPS) as initiator, styrene(ST) as hard monomer, butyl acrylate (BA) and ethylhexyl acrylate (EHA) as soft monomers, acrylic acid (AA) as functional monomer,choosing suitable cross-linking momomer, synthesize polyacrylic ester printing adhesive at low temperature.In this paper the dosage of monomers, initiator, emulsifier, dodecanethiol and silicone is discussed.And the temperature,time and mixing too.The element of affect textile performance after printing is discussed,for example:curing time,curing tempreture,Tg, dosage of adhesive and thickening agent. By modern device, the property of the emulsion is tested,for example the FT-IR,DSC, TG.We find that the emulsion is modified by silicon oil actually.The glass transition temperature and the temperature of heat decomposition are both improved.By large experiment,the acrylic emulsion is superior to the silicon-modified acrylic emulsion.The main synthesis conditions are as follows:emulsifier dosage (0.8%),initiator dosage(0.8%),emulsifier proportion(4:3),acrylic acid dosage (1.8%), proportion of soft and hard monomer(1.2188:1), dodecanethiol dosage0.39%, cross-linking monomer(HA) dosage(2.6%), silicone oil dosage (6.5%); The polymerization temperature(80℃), pre-emulsion dropping time (60min), holding time (60min), we will get the fine emulsion.The optimal printing process is pigment10%, adhesive20%, emulsion paste2%, baking temperature120℃and banking time3min.
