Abstract/Summary:
During the21st century, energy security and global warming caused by human life andindustry production has aroused widespread concern around the world. Among the range ofresponse options aimed at reducing human activity caused by carbon emissions,"low-carbondevelopment model is widely recognized in the world, and become the target of the new eraof human development. The city played an important role of the economic and social development in countries inthe world, it is key to solve the most complex, pressing issues (such as resources, environment,etc.).As one of the major sectors of the economy, urban transport greenhouse gas emissionsintensity is increasing every year, according to the Intergovernmental Panel on ClimateChange (IPCC,2007) reports, among global greenhouse gas emissions, urban transport isaccounted for13.1%, it is the third largest sector which only less than energy supply andindustrial production, making it is imminent to reduce urban transport carbon emissions. Asthe smallest unit of the city, making household as an entry point to reduce urban transportcarbon emissions is becoming an important trend. This paper will make Xi’an as an example, household commute carbon emissions as anobject, household commute carbon emissions space law and its influencing factors as a keyissue, provide policy advice for urban transportation planning and managers as a goal to dothe following work.Firstly, analyzed the nature of land, population density, schooling and job density distribution characteristics in Xi’an combined with CUBE and ArcGISsoftware;Secondly, analyzed Xi’an travel、culture、income and other property featuresaccording to the2010spatial planning and low-carbon Xi’an questionnaires;Thirdly, calculated Xi’an household commute carbon emissions and its distribution characteristics;Fouthly, analyzed the relationship between the land nature, population density, school density, family property and other parameters which are mentioned in the literature with householdcommute carbon emissions;Fifthly, made household commute carbon emissions as thedependent variable, the aboved index as the independent variable to do multiple linearregression modelling, principal component modelling and make a cluster analysis; Finally, thepaper provided ideas for the construction of urban low carbon transport based on the aboveanalysis.
