Slope deformation monitoring is an important mean to effectively predict the landslide,with the continuous advances in monitoring technology, the accuracy of monitoring equipmentis getting higher and higher, the ability to predict landslide has been greatly improved. But thedevelopment speed of our country’s slope monitoring technology and equipment is relativelyslow compared with other countries, with increasing emphasis on the domestic mining on slopesafety, on the one hand, it is necessary to introduce advanced monitoring technology andequipment from abroad to make our means of monitoring more abundant. On the other hand, itis necessary to optimize and upgrade the existing monitoring technology which enables avariety of monitoring technologies merging to better protect the slope safety of mines abroad,this article is based on the basis of this idea.This paper first introduces the present situation and development direction of the slopemonitoring at home and abroad, explained the basic principles of a reasonable means ofmonitoring should be followed. By field investigation and collect information, studied to thehydrogeology characteristics of Heidaigou open pit slope and the factors that affect slopestability, and then analyze the instability mechanism of slope deformation and failure mode oflandslide, and analyze and evaluate to the composite step of coal and rock and slope stability ofdumping site.In order to effectively prevent Heidaigou slope safety hazards caused harm, the twomonitoring systems are adopted according to Heidaigou slope characteristics. This paperintroduces synthetic aperture radar monitoring technology which is applicable for monitoringHeidaigou open pit high bench, and clarifies the basic principles and safety warning criteria ofthis monitoring system. Make the slope monitoring program of GPS and anchor cable to thepotential landslide area of each waste dump, introduced the unique advantages of GPSautomatic monitoring technology and the technical principles of anchor Monitoring, carried outthe technology innovation to monitoring system.Advanced monitoring technology of this paper is the synthetic aperture radar technology,therefore this paper mainly studied the theoretical basis of the synthetic aperture radarmonitoring, early warning model for the monitoring techniques are discussed in detail,illustrated the advancement and practicability of monitoring system by landslide instance. Pointout the problems that need to attention in the monitoring process, and summarize the monitoringeffect combined with field experience. Finally, the innovation and inadequate of this paper isconcluded, described the applications and existing problems in the country of slope stabilityradar surveillance, and give some perspectives for further of slope monitoring techniques.
