| Fluid Catalytic Cracking Unit (FCCU) plays an important role in refiningindustry, and is the key unit in the production of light oil. By comparing theoperation data in the two FCCUs (1#FCC and2#FCCU) in Luoyang Company, ChinaPetrochemical Corporation, improved technical plans were proposed and applied inproduction process to gain considerable economy benefit.Material, heat and pressure balance as well as fluidized, reaction, recyclingengineering were analyzed and energy consumption standards were calculated inreaction-regeneration system of the two FCCUs. Material balance analysis wasapplied to remove error to obtain reliable results; heat balance analysis was appliedto get adjusting methods for factors affecting the heat balance; fluidized and pressurebalance analysis accompanied by catalyst properties and operating condition wereapplied to calculate the pressure in the two FCCUs; energy consumption standardswere applied to obtain the constitution and influencing factors of energyconsumption for the purpose of energy saving.By calculating and analyzing the operating data in the two different FCCUs,an overall understanding of operation status and existing problems were obtained.The difference in distribution and quality of the products is due to the difference indevice type in the same conditions of material, catalyst and product scheme. A betterdistribution and regeneration effect of catalyst was found in2#FCCU, in whichcounter-current coke burning technology was applied. While, in1#FCCU, it causedback mixing and higher carbon content. According to the different properties of thetwo devices, technical transformations and global optimization methods includingthe optimization of material construction were proposed. For1#FCCU, it was totallyused to the production of hydrofining wax oil, and the regeneration mode was turnedto be the complete regeneration. For2#FCCU, it was used to produce all the heavyoil from flash tower, and to mixing refine hydrofining wax oil. Meanwhile, theFDFCC process was timely outaged. By the mentioned measures above, improvedproduct distribution effect and increased economic index of the two FCCUs wereobtained. The optimization and complementarity of the two FCCUs were greatlyhelpful to attain the expected economic benefits. |
