The paper analyzed the key technologies of reaction-regeneration section of catalytic cracking unit, checked the practical application effects on industrial unit, and confirmed the suitable technology and operating conditions for the reconstruction of catalytic cracking unit in terms of practical production conditions of Jilin Petrochemicals Company. Collected the operation data from the reconstructed unit and calculated the major technical parameters and energy consumption of reaction-regeneration system. The results showed that the process capacity of the reconstructed unit was up to 1.4 Mt/a and the maximum blending ratio of residue reached 60.02% in practical production. Some of the coker gas oil can be blended and the equilibrium of residum of the factory could be satisfied. Reconstructed product distribution was quite ideal, the light oil yield had been up to 68.7% with the quality of gas oil and diesel oil improved, which met the requirements of products. The energy consumption of reconstructed unit reduced to 53.50 kg oe/t which had reached the advanced level than similar units in China. In addition, the technical parameters of regenerator (such as coke burning intensity, linear velocity, density, equilibrium catalyst activity, catalyst consumption, etc) are good, and the carbon content of regenerated catalyst was merely 0.05%. Considering product distribution and quality data, the selection of reaction conditions of riser and application of new techniques (such as nozzle, stripping, pre-lifting, etc) were appropriate and played a significant role in the unit. The production situation during one process period showed that the operation of reconstructed unit was stable, the products were qualified, the operation was flexible, and the unit could deal with the different feedstock, work capacity and production scheme. That indicated that selection of processing route, main equipment structure and operating conditions was reasonable and the unit has been successfully reconstructed. And the reconstructed unit raeped good economic and social benefits.
