As the living environment being deteriorated and changed, people’s health has been taken more risk. In order to pursue strong body and higher quality of life, people gradually pay closer attention to anything about healthcare. So the market of household healthcare products would face a burgeoning scene.However, with the expansion of household healthcare products market, academia and industry appears to be not in the same rhythm. Some producers only think highly of flashy appearance, but barely pay attention to reasonable and systematic analysis of man-machine relationship or function effectiveness. These problems have seriously impacted on the overall quality level of domestic household healthcare products, thus needed to be solved immediately.In this subject, the academics attempted to combine the theory of usability put forward by Jakob Nielsen with the systemic design of household healthcare product. By evaluating the usability of some specific product, the factors which are relevant to the usability of this product have been found, then the factors needed to be analyzed in the area of ergonomics, user demand, product operating environment and design morphology, so as to form a series of optimization method to redesign the product. At last, two kind of foot tubs have been designed for each user group:the mid-agedness and young woman.
