1,3,5-Triglycidyl Isocyanurate(TGIC) byproducts are the main produce waste inthe product process of1,3,5-Triglycidyl Isocyanurate. TGIC is a kind of curing agentused in powder coating. Because of its heat stability, mechanical performance andexcellent resistance to yellow degeneration, it is widely used by humankind. With TGICmarket demanded more and more widely in medicine, mold making materials, adhesive andpainting, the output of TGIC byproducts are also increased. This not only causes pollutionof the environment, but also against the original purpose of the use of multi-level of rawmaterials. So, how to effectively use this byproducts is the only way to sovle thisproblem. According to their physical and chemical properities,the objective ofthis study is through the effective treatment, how to use the TGIC byproductswith plasticizer and hot melt adhesive.(1) Extend the chain of TGIC byproducts by means of urea withIPDI and diethylenetriamine (DETA) with IPDI respectively. The by-productswhich modified contains a lot of strong polarity functional groups which areheterocyclic ring, amidolink and ether bond. Generally, we improved themolecular weight and viscosity of the byproducts.(2) We mix the pura TGIC by-products, urea and IPDI modified TGICby-products, DETA and IPDI modified TGIC by-products with DOP respectively,gettingthe complex plasticizers according to the ratio of0:10,1:9,2:8,3:7,4:6, inorder to use them in the preparation of soft PVC.Through the tests about themechanical propertics,hardness,aging sex,cold resistance,rheological properties of thecomposite plasticizer, we concluded, when the dosage of the modified TGIC byproductsabout20%,the tensile strength of the composite increased about25%. Tear strengthand hardness are also enhanced to a certain extent, but elongation at break have a slightlyreduced. From the rheological figure we can see, the machinability of PVC plastifiedby the mixed plasticizers and the DOP are nearly the same. It illustrates the mixedplasticizers not only can insure the performance of the soft PVC, but also can reduce theproduction cost of PVC.(3) We mix the pura TGIC by-products, urea and IPDI modified TGIC by-products,DETA and IPDI modified TGIC by-products with DOP respectively,getting the complex plasticizers according to the ratio of0:10,1:9,2:8,3:7,4:6. Throughthe six performance test about the viscosity, initial adhesion, the holding viscous,softening point,T-peel strength and180°peel strength,we can see,when the dosage ofurea and IPDI modified TGIC by-products about20%and30%, the initial adhesionof the composite plasticizer improved sharply. And the ball number reached to11and13.The holding viscous has also improved. It can reach410min, which more than theholding viscosity of the pure adhesive with the increase of11%. Softening point reached amaximum of89℃,which can meet the requirement(74℃). Two peel strength reachedhigher value when the modified byproducts dosage of20%. The T-peel strength and180°peel strength are7%and12%higher than the pure hot melt adhesive....
