China produces vast amount of agricultural products and agricultural residues at thesame time. Setting on fire of the residues in the fields during the harvest time results inserious air pollution and waste of resources. Finding ways to use these residues is urgent.New products of domestic fuels or industrial gasification raw materials are prepared bythe mixture of the biomass and the coal, which can not only save a part of the coal, butfacilitate its application provided that the original performance and usage habits are notchanged. The effects of various parameters, such as pressure, moisture content, bond kindsand dosage, coal particle size, biomass kinds and proportion were investigated by orthogonalexperiment and results show that the bond kinds and the coal particle size have significant.The best bonding effect of carbide slag (CS), clay and the residues of brine preparation (RBP)is2:1:1. The greater the coal particle size, the worse the performance, generally under3mmparticle size is better. The influence of the molding pressure is different with different biomass,the influence of corn stover and the residue of furfural production from corncob(RFPC)islarger, the influence of peanut shell is less.Technological conditions of prepared biomass honeycomb briquette(BHB) with themixture of the corn straw and the powdered coal were investigated. thermal performance ofbiomass honeycomb briquette by optimizing process was similar to domestic honeycombbriquette(DHB). The property of ignition, burning and cooking of BHB, which was assessedaccording to method GB/T6412-2009, is better than DHB. Although the crushing force of BHB wasreduced markedly, when additive amount of corn straw was less than20%(dry basis), the property of BHBmeet the demand of GB/T13593-1992.In order to substitute for solid alcohol, a inflammable biomass briquette made by cornstraw and peanut shell is attempted to prepare in this study. The results showed that thebiomass briquette of adding5%sodium nitrate serve as combustion improver and adding4%carboxymethylcellulose serve as bond were ignited in the atmosphere, a tongue of flame isvigorous, the total time of the combustion is more than30min, but when a tongue of flame dies, some smoke is produced. The next, the problem should be attempted to resolve.
