SEBS/PP blends the use of high temperature and good solvent resistance, blends toughness improved, at the same time, after joining PP can improve the processing properties of SEBS. SEBS and its blends in household appliances, sporting goods, automotive, medical equipment, building industry, the footwear industry and many other fields have received much attention and widely used.But SEBS/PP material easy combustion, combustion produces a large number of droplets, the flame propagation speed, the use and promotion of causing a certain limit. Halogen free flame retardant low smoke, low toxicity, fire safety materials research and development has become the focus and hot, is the development trend of flame retardant.In this paper based on the investigation of a large number of literatures review, SEBS/PP halogen-free flame retardant modification and performance studies, obtained certain research results. Using N P intumescent flame retardant, supplemented by phosphate plasticizer flame retardant effect, reasonable use of double screw combination and reasonable injection production samples, were related to flame retardant, mechanical properties testing, to find a better proportion, the realization of SEBS/PP thermoplastic elastomer of halogen-free flame retardant. At the same time the flame retardant mechanism of system of research, and flame retardant system on dynamic mechanical properties of SEBS/PP, effect on the crystallization behavior of. The main research results are as follows:1.limit oxygen index value (LOI), UL94rank, scanning electron microscope (SEM) analysis of SEM and thermogravimetry (TGA) test results show that adding BDP and HS-219B flame retardant agent on SEBS/PP flame retardant properties and thermal stability increased significantly, the material has higher fire safety. Especially when adding a quantity to achieve30%BDP and40%HS-219B flame retardant, flame rating can reach UL94level V-0.2at the same time by scanning electron microscope (SEM) on blends combustion in carbon layer appearance performance characterization, display containing30%BDP and40%HS-219B flame retardant SEBS/PP material is expanded to form a typical honeycomb carbon layer, so that the char layer becomes more compact. The carbon layer better barrier internal heat, combustible gas, free radical transfer and are not prone to rupture, thereby preventing the matrix further combustion.3mechanical properties and hardness tests showed that in keeping the flame retardant performance, to find a suitable flame retardant formulation, thereby reducing flame retardant material mechanical properties and hardness of decline.4using dynamic mechanical thermal analysis(DMA) and differential scanning calorimetry (DSC) by means of BDP and HS-219B study of SEBS/PP dynamic mechanical properties and the effect on the crystallization behavior.
