In the Ocean areas indole as the natural compounds has no-harm to theenvironment and shows highly antifouling activity. It has been attentioned, especiallythe human-synthesis and its use. In this thesis,9indole derivatives have beensynthesized by michael addition, and they were as follows:3-(1H-indole-1-yl)-N-octylpropanamide,2-methyl-3-(1H-indole-1-yl)-N-ethylpropanamide,2-methyl-3-(3H-indole-1-yl)-N-ethylpropanamide,3-(1H-indole-1-yl)-N-allylpropanamide,3-(5,6-dichloro-1H-indole-1-yl)-N-octylpropanamide,3-(5,6-dichloro-1H-indole-1-yl)-N-allylpropanamide,3-(5-bromo-1H-indole-1-yl)-N-allylpropanamide,3-(3-((dimethylamino)methyl)-1H-indol-1-yl)-N-octylpropanamide,3-(3-((dimethylamino)methyl)-1H-indol-1-yl)-N-allylpropanamide,All the compounds are identified by means of FTIR and NMR. The optimumconditions of3-(1H-indole-1-yl)-N-allylpropanamide was studied, the choice ofreaction solvent and the influence factors of reactions involved are discussedrespectively also.Studied the six of the new products’antibacterial showed that all the six productsexhibit antibacterial activities against Escherichia coli and Staphylococcus aureus.The order of antibacterial activity was G-O-PD> G-A-PD>ClI-O-PD> I-O-PD>ClI-A-PD> I-A-PD.Six compounds are used as antifouling angents in antifouling coatingsrespectively. After an exposure to marine environment the coatings show goodantifouling activity.In order to find the relationship between the structure and antibacterial activitiesof gramine, density function theory (DFT) at the B3LYP/6-31G basis set method wasused. Using the regression analysis to find the main influence factors, and established the equation. The highest occupied molecular orbital energy(εH)、the lowestunoccupied molecular orbital energy minus the energy of the highest occupiedmolecular orbital(ΔεL-H)、Moore refractive index(MR)influence the antibacterialactivities of the gramine.
