| The hardness of pyrolusite is low. It is easy to argillization. The yield of manganese mineral slime is up to10%-50%, and the metal distribution rate is25%-30%. The loss of manganese is serious because it is hard to handle manganese mineral slime by using conventional mineral processing method. By using the surface properties and magnetic properties of pyrolusite, the basic idea of magnetic-hydrophobic agglomerate flotation was proposed to strengthen flotation recovery of fine pyrolusite. Under hydrophobic force field and magnetic field and composite field, the floatability and the relationship between floatability and apparent size of fine pyrolusite was stuied. The mechanism of magnetic-hydrophobic agglomerate was researched systematically. Papers obtained the following main conclusions:The floatability is in direct proportion to the apparent size of fine pyrolusite. The apparent size of fine pyrolusite under the action of composite field of magnetic field and hydrophobic force field was bigger than that under the action of sodium oleate.The main factors which can affect the magnetic-hydrophobic agglomerate flotation are magnetic density, magnetization time, mixing speed and the action order of fore field. Best effects on agglomerate of pyrolusite were obtained under the condition of0.7T,10min,1500r/min and the order of premagnetization-flotation. The best flotation recovery and the biggest apparent size were obtained at the same time.Theoretical calculation of EDLVO shows that the order of interaction distance of electrostatic repulsion energy and hydrophobic energy and magnetic attraction energy was:HVE> HMA> HHR. The dispersed fine pyrolusite particles start to agglomerate at a long interaction distance because of the introduction of magnetic attraction energy. The apparent size of composite field agglomerate was bigger and the stability was higher. |
