| With the development of automation in workpieces processing, the customers haveincreased their demands for the flatness tolerance of plate since several years. RollerStraightening Machine is the critical equipment which is used to guarantee the straightness ofsteel plate and eliminate the residual stress.The paper takes11roll-type straightening machine which is located in the number2HotRolling Mill of WISCO as the object of the study, gives a brief introduction to the structure andthe theory of straightening machine. By assuming plate steel as a simply supported beam modeland taking zero moment point as a virtual pivot, the paper, which is based on the theory ofbending of elastic deformation, aims to establish more reasonable straighter model and getaccurate rolling reduction during the straightening process then obtains the relationship betweenthe intermesh of every roll and anti-bending rate. Finally, we determine the intermesh of everyroll and every relative bending rate of plates at every roll according to the characteristic of theroll-type straightening machine.According to the process parameters of straightening machine, the3-D dynamic finiteelement model of the steel in straightening process is established by explicit dynamic FEMsoftware ANSYS/LS-DYNA, and therefore the residual stress and flatness of the plate can beanalyzed.By using the method of curve fitting, the influence of the change of1#leveler rollerintermesh on the anti-bending rate of2#roll is analyzed, then we obtain the result that thelocation zero moment point of between1#roll and2#roll is changed as the change of1#levelerroller intermesh which result in the location of maximum relative anti-bending curve rate appearat2#roll. Based on the comparison of residual stress and flatness under different1#leveler rollerintermesh, the influence of the intermesh on the quality of the roll can be concluded whichprovide a theoretical basis for practical production and improve the quality of the plate. |
