As many main field of our country be in the middle and later periods of exploitation, theoil layer’s water capacity is rising, the contradiction between oil layers has been aggravated.In order to increase the oil production and improve the oil production efficiency in oil field, itis necessary to effectively develop the rest of the oil in special reservoirs. It is an urgent needto fine separate-layer water injection oil production. Model Y341-114compression packer isthe downhole tool which is used in fine separate-layer water injection commonly. The coreelement of the compression packer is glue tube. In the process of seating, there areinteractions between water injection string and packer, the work position of packer and thestress of string are closely related to mechanical behavior of rubber when the packer isworking. Therefore, the study of mechanical behavior of the packer rubber is very importantto the accurate work position of packer and the mechanical analysis of the water injectionstring system., and ensure the stability of the fine separate layer water injection technologyhas very good practical significance.This paper introduces the development and application of the packer at home and abroadand research of mechanical behavior of packer rubber. Based on the study that the basicstructure and working mechanism of packer of Y341-114, we can measure the stress-strainrelationship data of rubber material which is provided for the mechanical behavior of rubberin the dynamic finite element simulation research. As the result of research the mechanicalbehavior of the packer rubber by numerical simulation which based on the finite elementanalysis software, we can won some conclusions, such as the relations between the axialpressure and the compression distances of rubber, and the relations axial compression andcontact pressure, and the relations axial pressure and friction between packer rubber andcasing and so on. This paper focuses on the study of the relations between axial pressure andfriction between rubber and casing. In addition, the design of mechanism which can test thefriction between the rubber and casing is completed, and test friction between rubber andcasing in the different axial pressure also is completed. Through this experiment, therationality of the numerical simulation results is proved, and fitting out the relation formulaof friction and axial pressure of single grade packer packer and casing which is suitable formodel Y341-114compression packer and casing internal diameter of124.3mm.This paper can provide some basis for the further research on the mechanical analysis ofsubdivided layers water injection string and the accurate downhole work position of model Y341-114compression packer.
