With the development of industrialize, a large number of domestic sewage, industrial wastewater, solid waste residue result in the regional water environmentpollution. The contaminants of tailing dam increase the surrounding environment withgroundwater movement, which result in the deterioration of ecological environmentand serious pollution of groundwater quality, and cause losses to human health andnational economies. According to the analysis of water has taken sample test results, the concentration of arsenic is0.66mg/L, and the concentration of fluorine is62.5mg/L, and the concentration of phosphorus is1392mg/L.They have exceeded thestandard of the national drinking water, also led to pollute groundwater environment. The test results show that: the polluted groundwater has spread to the surroundinggroundwater, and make the surrounding groundwater worse.Using field investigation、 laboratory analysis and groundwater numericalsimulation to research. According to the hydrogeological conditions in study area andthe former information, at first, we evaluate present situation of the groundwaterenvironment in karst area. Moreover, we simulate groundwater seepage by Modflowand the process of pollutant migration by MT3D. At last, we provide treatment projectof groudwater environment in a tailing dam. the main results are as follows:1.According to previous studies and field investigations, this paper summarize thegeological environment conditions in study area. The JinSuo basin hydrogeologicalunit will be divided into two hydrogeological units, such as Ⅰ: Pansuohaihydrogeological unit,Ⅱ:Laohuangshan hydrogeological unit. The collect pool locate atⅠ,and the leachate pool locate at ⅠandⅡ2.Aim at the range that May affect by the tailing dam, dedicated to collect andtest water sample. According to results of summary analysis test, arsenic exceed65 times, and fluorine exceed61.5times, and phosphorus exceed69600times. P almostexceed around area, which illustrate the phosphorus in tailings dam has polluted entirehydrogeological unit.3.The results of pollutant migration simulation:(1)The direction of pollutant migration: it affect by groundwater diffusion, butimpact mostly by the direction of groundwater runoff. in convection dominated way, pollutants in tailings dam is migrated mainly to north side, north-west side.(2)The scope of pollutant diffusion: The scope of pollutant migration is ellipticshape in tailings area. with simulation time increased pollution area gradually expandto two axis.migration range in vertical greater than migration range in lateral byinfluence of groundwater runoff, and the pollutants range is very large in upstream, but is small in downstream. he pollutants range on two sides is basic quite. pollutantseventually move to the river pipe near F5fault if simulation run more time.(3)The diffusion of pollutants in vertical direction: with more time, pollutantsconcentration on different depths are increasing gradually. The more close to ground, the peak value of pollutants concentration is appeared earlier and higher. From thepicture,we can see that the range of pollutant in vertical direction are increasinggradually, and last cause leakage pollution.4.providing three aspects to protect groundwater environment in tailingsarea:such as, preventing the leakage、reducing p concentration by discharge of thewaste water, preventing the leakage and reducing p concentration by the discharge ofwaste water. Through the comprehensive analysis, the best effect is preventing theleakage and reducing p concentration by the discharge of waste water...
