Phenoxynaphthacenequinone have a special photochromism properties which is due to the photoinduced isomerization of the yellow trans-quinone form to the ana-quinone orange-colored by irradiation with365nm,during the two peaks occouring at430nm and480nm.This conversion can be induced by UV light at visible light.The reverse reaction "ana." into "trans" takes place by irradiation with visible light. Phenoxynaphthacenequinone can be used to save information because of the special properties to the molecular level.So we designed and characterized many derivatives of naphthacenequinone by NMR=IR、 MALDI-TOF-MS.The researches as following:Derivatives of naphthacenequinone that we synthesis possess the inherent photochromic properties. And in the normal condition,the compounds that we synthesis can be exist as the trans form.PNQN-C1shows that positive solvent effects in different solvents through the testion. PNQN-Clcan take place photochromism in aqueous solution. Pb2+and K+can have the trend of stabilizing the trans form, Pb2+can inhibit the procedure of PET intramolecular.The photochromism properties of PNQN-C2have a unique function for Cu2+and Fe3+.Fe3+can stabilize the trans form of PNQN-C2because of the condition between PNQN-C2and Fe3+. PNQN-AZO and PNQN-POR which have two different of photochromic groups also have their the photochromism nature,and PNQN-POR molecules exist the procedure of PET.We synthesis NQN-MPYland NQN-MPY2by the photochromism nature of PNQN-8. The structure of NQN-MPY2is confirmed by crystal data.In the experiment we found that NQN-MPY2have a significant quenching fluorescence at about577nm with the excitation wavelength475nm with the adding of Cu2+in aqueous solution (THF:H2O=9:1; v/v).There are two peaks occurred at535nm and576nm in the UV spectrum. NQN-MPY2can detect Cu2+without disturbed by other combining metal ions, the presence of Cu2+induces the formation of a1:1metal-ligand complex is confirmed by the Job curve, binding constants is1.07×106M-1.The color changed from shallow pink to purple.
