Improving nuclear power head of the productivity is one of the important topics which improve China’s nuclear power equipment manufacturing capacity. In the nuclear power head machiining,the cutting parameters and toolpath are two important factors which influence the machining precision and efficiency.The optimization of cutting parameters and tool path can effectively improve the productivity of nuclear power head.Firstly establish the mathematical model for optimization of cutting parameters on the basis of analysis of cutting movement’s form and influencing factor.According to the different optimization objective,establish the optimal objective function and the constraint condition of the corresponding processing.Through the comparison of feature of algorithms solving commonly the optimization mathematical model,select genetic algorithm and particle swarm algorithm for solving the optimization problem.Considering the cutting parameter optimization problem is often encountered in the actual production, design computing platform optimization of cutting parameters in matlab.For make technical personnel can predefine the optimization problems and need not modify the program,develop the convenient man-machine interface communication and select appropriate algorithm to calculate the optimal results.The platform has certain universality and good maintainability.Establish the tool path planning mathematical model which is different from the traditional order of tool path generation methods and use a new iterative algorithm to automatically search and optimization of tool path.Develop the calculation and display system of tool path planning using VC++.The system can open IGES file and automatically generate the surface processing path.Use the platform and system to realize the nuclear power head cutting parameters and tool path optimization and analyze the results.
