Though more than85%iron ore resources in China are from open-pit production, after years of mining, Most of open-pit iron mine enterprises are faced with the prob-lem of shuting down the open pit and the transition from open pit to underground mining. Therefore, iron ore body, the presence ore mining away from the open pit boundary, mining has become an inevitable trend in the development of open-pit mine enterprise, which is of great theoretical and practical significance of China’s national economic development.Through field research, laboratory testing, theory analysis, numerical simulation and other research means, this paper, based on the technical conidition of Gushan iron orebody, conducts a in-depth research about key technology and the main reach re-sults are as follows:(1) The presence of rock mechanics test of the presence mine of Gushan, deter-mines the main mechanical parameters of mine rock, and adopts scientific method to convert them into the field rock mechanical parameters.(2) Through a lot of backfilling mixing ratio experiment, we come to get the best backfilling material, lime-sand ratio and concentration of the cement orepillar backfil-ling, the adhesive surface materials and artificial roof backfilling at the end.(3) Through analysis of current situation of home and abroad similar mining, and combination of the actual situation of Gushan iron mine, we suggest three kinds of mining alternative which is safe, efficient and reliable, and finalize the use of mecha-nized mining method for the upward horizontal slicing and backfilling through the SPA and AHP method.(4)By MIDAS/GTS (analysis of geotechnical and tunneling system), a three di-mensional numerical simulation model of Gushan mine is established, determining Stope structure parameters with reasonable mining order and optimal mining method. Based on the key technology research and development of presence Iron ore mine of Gushan, it solves the problem of special technology brought by the presence ore mine of Gushan. The research not only eliminates the constraints to the sustainable devel-opment of the company caused by the depletion of Gushan iron mine resource, but also makes the key technology of development used throughout the industry, greatly improving the overall level of the mining technology in China.
