Polyethylene terephthalate (PBT) has good processing properties and excellent mechanical properties, low moisture absorption, good corrosion resistance. But as a kind of engineering plastics, it is also anti-notched impact poor high temperature under high load, easy to deform and other defects, these defects cause certain restrictions of PBT in the application subject. The critical issue of expand the application is to improve the crystallization ability, which is due to the degree of crystallinity and crystal morphology of the polymer have a significant impact on product performance, so improving the crystallization behavior of polymer processing applications has very important significance.In this work, PBT/nucleating agent blends were prepared by melt blending. Use the classical kinetic equation to inspect the system non-isothermal crystallization process. Used DSCã€XRDã€TGAã€PLMã€TEM to test the samples. Sample of pure PBT and PBT/nucleating agent blends were processed by microwave. Finally we get the following conclusions.(1) Sample of pure PBT and PBT/nucleating agent blends are well in line with the Avrami equation and Mo improve equation. Nucleating agent is added to the PBT matrix, has played a significant heterogeneous nucleation effect of system. PBT/nucleating agent which adding more SB has maximum Tp and the highest crystallization temperature.(2) Contrast to pure PBT, the role of nucleating agent to join can increase the crystallization rate of the system, increasing the degree of crystallinity of the system, to improve the system played a crystallization behavior. The effect of the nucleating agent to be significantly superior to a single nucleating agent, the impact of SB in the nucleating agent is greater than DBS. Because the amount of agent adds into the system, nucleation agent does not significant impact on the thermal performance of the system.(3) Between lmin~4min, with the increase of the microwave processing time, the degree of crystallinity of the pure PBT samples increases gradually, the microwave processing time for4min, the degree of crystallinity of PBT can reach37.62%,12.63%increased in crystallinity. Microwave processing of PBT/nucleating agent system, we get the maximum degree of crystallinity is51.33%. |
