Applied Research Of Industrial Design Theory In Hand Blown Glassware

After the Asian financial crisis, the world’s hand blown glass production center is transferring from European to China and other Asian countries. China glass industry grabs the opportunity to develop the glassware industry with the great support from government and makes the hand blown glassware industry entered a period of rapid development. But after2009the international financial crisis, the international market demand is greatly reduced, as well as many generations of processing OEM glassware business failures, gradually reflects the lack of independent innovation and the lack of independent brands disadvantage.This study sets the goal to enhance Chinese hand blown glassware competitiveness as the motive. From the perspective of industrial design, provide theoretical basis and guidance for glassware manufacturing enterprises through research. And the study tries to help galssware pruduct enterprises to improve product quality and enhance product competitiveness in the international market by using the industrial design theory. Firstly, this paper discusses the history of the development of glass products, the tracking process of foreign glass industry in China and the trend of hand blown glassware industry transferring to developing countries. Then, this paper analysis the production processes from main raw materials, auxiliary raw material, design methods and produce technology, propose China is rich of raw materials and energy. China should make the China glassware production and export base for the center and play hand blown glassware industry which owns regional focus and large production capacity. And make the hand blown glassware more and more technology to enhance the competitiveness by introducing industrial design theory and methods. This paper characteristics the Shanxi Province Qixian hand blown glassware industry to represent by the above ideas discussed, followed by analysis of the existing production process, including the general mouth blown glassware blowing process, as well as special blowing technology. After the through business cases as examples, the market-tested products, analyze the success of product design with industrial design theory and prove the industrial design theory can increase competitiveness and improve the contribution made by the added value, etc..
