Coal mining carrier (carrier) is one of the important transportation facilities without track in the Coal mine. His main function is transport the coal mining machine and big facilities in fully mechanized mining face in inverted faces or new working face. Track is the walking part of the carrier, which not only strengthen the off-road capability, but also enhance carrier’s weight ability. The track car’s principle is different from wheeled vehicle, so it is hard to make the car turn at any speed with a certain radius as the driver’s wish. With the increasing power of tracked vehicle and speed improvement, the steering maneuverability requirements are also getting higher and higher.This project is according to the TY100FB coal mining carrier.We use UG software to establish carrier’s rack and the3D solid model of track frame, and put the model into the RD that we make frame track and some other models in. Final, we make vehicle virtual prototype model and turning dynamic simulation.In this study, we put the model into RD that we make frame track and some other models in. When all the things have been done, the assembly and the interference detection have been separately finished. After the assembly, we put it into the RD, establish the track, chain wheel supporting wheel, track rack and all the other parts, set the parameter and the constriction, establish the carrier’s virtual prototype model. As the actual situation, the carrier has been put on the cement concrete pavement, solid earth road and loose soil road virtually by three different ways. First one side track brake, and the other drive. Second both sides reverse by the same speed. Third both sides drive with different speeds. Through these experiments, we get the two sides’chain wheel torque in different situations, which can decide the turning resistance. By calculating the rolling resistance coefficient and turning coefficient which can provide the theoretical basis for the giant track vehicle.
