The Metal-carboxylic acid complexes not only have novel structures but also have unique propertiesand have been a focus of coordinationand material chemistry due to promising application in structuralchemistry, photophysics, electrochemistry, magnetism, catalysis, molecular recognition, sorption process,ion-exchange, gas storage and biological activity. The N-containing aromatic carboxylic acid ligands hadattracted increasing interests, which have strong coordination ability, flexible coordination way and easyto realize the coordination by changing the experimental condition. The present paper is to report thecoordination polymers formed between Pyridine-2,6-dicarboxylic acid, Pyrazinedi-2,3-carboxylic acidand rare earth metal by hydrothermal synthesis.The thesis covers following four chapters:In the first chapter,as introduction,we mainly introduced the concepts, development process andthe research background of the complexes of N-containing aromatic carboxylic acid. At the same time,we simply summarize the reasearch of Fluorescence probe.In the second chapter,seven kinds of four nuclear coordination polymers with N-containingaromatic carboxylic acid ligands and rare earth metal was synthesized by hydrothermal synthesis.Respectively for [Nd2(pzdc)3(H2O)]n·nH2O (1),[Nd4(pzdc)6(H2O)2]n·3nH2O (2),{[La4(PDA)10(H2O)8]·2H2O}n(3),{[Ln4(PDA)6(H2O)6]·H2O}n(Ln=La (4), Nd (5), Sm (6) and Gd (7)).According to the seven complexes of structure similarity can be divided into three groups, which werecharacterized by elemental analyses, IR spectroscopy, thermal analyses and single crystal X-raydiffraction and systematically studied molecular recognition function through the fluorescenceperformance.In the third chapter, there are ten crystals which are two nuclear coordination polymers, characterizedby elemental analyses, IR spectroscopy, thermal analyses and single crystal X-ray diffraction. They weredivided into three categories:{[Ln2(PDA)(HPDA)(H2O)4ClSO4]·2H2O}n(Ln=La (8)和Ce (9)),{[Ce2(PDA)(HPDA)(H2O)4SO4]·2H2O}n(10),{[Ln2(PDA)3(H2O)3]·H2O}n(Ln=La(11),Pr(12),Sm(13),Eu(14),Gd(15)),{[La2(PDA)3(H2O)4]·H2O}n(16),[Gd2(Hpdac)(pdac)2·H2O]n(17). In the fourth chapter, the paper is summarized.
