The object of this paper is the four common sewage treatment processes, used in medium and small towns, which are A/O process, A2/O process, BioLaK(oxidation ditch) process and SBR process. This paper adopts the life cycle assessment of four different sewage treatment process, establishing the carbon footprint of measurement standards and methods, based on the input-output (I-O) method, to calculate the carbon footprint and analysis in detail. These four kinds of different sewage treatment process carbon footprint are:according to carbon footprint per year, followed by SBR process as104031.5tCO2/a, A2/O process as30409.34tCO2/a, A/O process as17508.56tCO2/a, oxidation ditch process as14084.56tCCVa; according to carbon footprint per unit of sewage, followed by A2/O process as per thousand tons of sewage119tCO2, oxidation ditch process as per thousand tons of sewage96.5tCO2, A/O process as per thousand tons of sewage7.99tCO2, SBR process as per thousand tons of sewage5.18tCO2; in accordance with per unit of COD, followed by the A2/O process as6.18kgCO2/tCOD, A/O process as4.10kgCO2/tCOD, oxidation ditch process as3.46kgCO2/tCOD, SBR process as2.13kgCO2/tCOD.The key categories of the sewage treatment plant emissions of greenhouse gases are:CO2emissions in the sewage treatment process, CH4and N2O emissions in Biochemical treatment, aeration power consumption, emissions, the power consumption emissions when waste water enhance, emissions caused by liquid chlorine. When sewage treatment plant require a lot of adding carbon source, adding carbon source may also be critical category. Learned that the sewage treatment plant greenhouse gas emissions key link, We should put forward reasonable carbon emission reduction of sewage treatment plant for potential. Recommend sewage of factory be discharged into the sewage treatment plant using easy calculation of the COD quota trading later, to replace charges by tonnage.
