Study On Motion Control Based Arc Spraying Rapid Molding Equipment And Technics

Arc spraying rapid modeling technology is a fast,convenient and practical technology of die&mould manufacturing. arc spraying Arc spraying rapid molding take advances in many fields,such as molding cycle time, technics,promotion,costs.With all these advances and suitable precision and life, arc spraying mold could meet the special production requirements. In general, arc spraying rapid modeling is especially suitable for new product development manufacture,process validation and function of verified and small batch production.The paper using the knowledge of software,machinery, rapid tooling and material to research arc spraying rapid modeling technology of equipment and technics, and solve the problems in the process.The main research contents and results are as follows:In this paper,the movement control CARDS+PC scheme is adopted to realize the motion control.With the ball screw and the motor,the spray gun could move in the three dimensional space.To achieve automatic arc spraying,motion control card is used to control stepping motor,and then drive the spray gun according to the shape of modle along the X, Y, Z directions.A movement-control card based software is developed by Visual C++6.0according to the process needing.This software achieve functions of G code explanation, spraying path displaying,sending motor control instruction.First,G code is generate by Proe,which will be translate into motion instructions by self-developed software.Besides,a set of arc spray motion equipment is designed and builded for spray gun’s auto-motion.Through the experiments of Zn spraying coating with different spraying height and wire voltage,it is known that in140mm to180mm height of spray range, if preferred hardness, should be selected floor height, if limited considering the deformation and the height limit should be selected.Due to the unequal heat dissipation, a great of residual stress is in the internal part of metal coating.Deformation of metal coating low the precision of the rapid mold.Therefore of metal coating spray cooling way is extremely important.Through the explore of rapid mold manufacturing,the intermittent spray and screwing spra path is finally adopted to reduce the effect of deformation,which is a effective way (?) avoid the metal shell coating deformation.
