In the era of developing low-carbon economy, reducing CO2emissions to controlglobal warming is not a simple environmental issue, but the economic, political andstrategic problem which various countries have to choose their strategies under thebackground of new world pattern. No doubt, the right of CO2emissions is equivalentto the right to economic development in the future, therefore the international CO2emissions reduction responsibility game among different countries has already begun. With the accelerated process of industrialization and urbanization, China CO2emissions is increasing, developed countries continually exerted pressure upon China.China should participate in the international climate game with developed countriesactively, establish corresponding competitive strategies, and try to fight for get morethe emissions space. Concerning this issue, the paper is divided into six parts. The first chapter describes the background of the international climate gamebetween China and developed countries. The chapter will discuss the necessity andimportance of the climate game, the structural arrangement of the papers, researchmethodology, innovation, and weaknesses.Chapter II will review the previous application of game theory in internationalclimate negotiations, and then summarize the principle of carbon emissions, the spaceof carbon emissions, carbon emission rights allocation criteria, as well as the funds andtechnical assistance from developed countries. Based on these above, this chapter willintroduce the highlights of this research.Chapter III will focus on the rules. Compared with different countries, the samerules for the implementation costs is sharply different. From the perspective ofinstitutional economics, this section will analyze the importance of rules ininternational climate negotiations, and the principle which China should adhere to inthe international climate negotiations.Because reasons of global warming had not have an authoritative conclusion, the fourth chapter will describe the different views on the causes of climate change, analyze the attitude of the developed and developing countries in the carbon spacesetting. And then based on the game model analysis on emission reduction effortsbetween the developed countries and developing countries, the paper will put forwardsome suggestions on the strategies of China participating in the CO2emissions spacesetting game.Chapter V will come to the relationship between the right of carbon emissions andthe right of economy developing. By elaborating the “historical cumulative emissions”,“emissions per capita”, and "the standards of carbon leakage during internationaltrade", this chapter will point out the necessity and reason why developed countriesmust commitment to emission reduction firstly. In this chapter we will consider thevarious indicators of carbon emission reduction standards, in order that more countrieshave the incentives to participate in international emission reduction.Chapter VI will focus on the international carbon trading game, the paper willanalyze the economic principles of the international carbon trading, the basic form ofinternational carbon trading, and then, based on introducing the status of China’sparticipation in international carbon trading, analyze the problem we faced and thefuture strategies.
