This paper is based on the TM remote sensing data of 1987,2000, and 2009 in Linfen city and environmental datum; it also reliedon the evaluation system of“eco-environmental status evaluation"(HJ/T192-2006). The author of this paper uses the 3S techniquewhich consists of“remote sensing, global positioning system,geographical information system”to analyze ecologicalenvironment and make evaluation.As for the aspect of acquiring the datum, the author putsforward the method of acquiring the statistics through remotesensing data rapidly in view of the disadvantages of traditionalecological environmental evaluation data access methods, and themethod has been successfully used in evaluation, which shortsthe cycle of data acquisition and processing and improve theaccuracy of the data.In the course of evaluating, the author used the space analysisfunction of ArcGIS platform and the evaluation formula in“eco-environmental status evaluation "(HJ/T192-2006) (criterion forshort), Using the normalized coefficient released by the national environmental monitoring station in 2008, taking county level as thebasic unit, the author evaluated the eco-environmental status ofLinfen city. Base on this background, he analyzed the norms ofsignificance and index calculation formula method, put forward theuse 30×30 m lattice cell as grid-evaluation unit to evaluate thebiological abundance index, vegetation cover index, water channeldensity index, land degradation index and environmental qualityindex. The new system mainly replaced the normalized coefficient,and made some amendments tests of formula. Combined withevaluation formula, the five indexes and the ecological environmentcondition index of space distribution and change are analyzed. Theresults show that:(1) The changing period of ecological environment of Linfen city.In the 1987-2009 period, the ecological environment condition index.EI, changed in a "V" word shape. Dropped from 43.83 in 1987 to39.79 in 1999, and then it rose to 45.95. Viewed from a biologicalindex abundance, vegetation cover, water channel density, landdegradation, environmental factors such as the quality of thependulum, it can be seen as a outcome resulted from climatechange and human activities.(2) The spatial variation of eco-environment of Linfen city. Thechanges of evaluation units based on the county of change within20 years : In places dominated by industry, ecological andenvironmental conditions changed from“the unfavorable tosuperior" or remained motionless with superiority , such as theEastern Anze county, the Guxian county and the southwest ofXiangning county; Even in the central area where the ecological environment situation is not good enough, it also has the trend ofbeing superior. The weakness of the industrialization in these place,such as the the YongHe county located at the northwest, Xixiancounty, the EI value presents a linear variation,which illustratesthat the influence of human activities exerting on the Eco-environment assessment of non-pollution type very clearly.At last, through the description of EI indexes’change, theecological environment situation of Linfen city in three years areclassified by the author, who made a proper description. This paperevaluates the EI in both national scale and inner scales of Linfencity. The results of this paper are able to show the ecological andenvironmental conditions of Linfen city for real. It also found out thelow-index area that influenced the ecological environment in Linfen.It can be used to some extent, as reference about strategy ofEcological environmental protection and management .
