Mold industry is one of our national economy five major pillar enterprise. Plastic mould in the whole mold industry is also an important position. With the rapid development of computer technology, mold designing and manufacturing of plastics changes the traditional state only by the experiences of mold technical personnel for plastic die design, analysis and manufacturing. In the past few decads, it can be found that the reasonable die design depends upon the final products only by trying, which may cause high mold manufacturing cost and long cycles. In the modern plastics mold designing and manufacturing, the use of CAD/CAE/CAE integration technology has been dramatically improved plastic die design, manufacturing and plastic products quality.Taking the notebook computer batteries lid as an example, this paper deals with research on CAD/CAE/CAM technology in plastic molds, its analysis, manufacturing of the entire process of integration in processing, which causes computer technology and design and manufacture of plastic mould integration and infiltration to mold the information industry.Some softwares platform such as UG and Autocad2004are used in this paper. First of all, a three-dimensional plastic model is established and the releasing detection, the thickness testing and the analysis of projection area are inspected. Secondly, die design and its optimization to the products of this model are carried out. Thirdly, some parameters such as temperature, filling, cooling pressure and so on of the notebook computer batteries lid plastic mould by Moldflow simulated analysis software are investigated. After estimation and optimization of the products with the help of CAE, software UG in CAM assistance manufacture is utilized, the processing tools track is set up and the processing tools track is simulated, which generates NC processing code and controls the NC machine to finish the mould manufacture. Associated with CAD/CAE/CAM integration technology, one can realize the unification of plastic model design, mould design, mould analysis and optimizion, the molding technics design and its manufactur based on3D data, which, results in data sharing in any stage, not only greatly improves the designing and manufacturing of efficiency, but also ensures the quality and reduce costs.
