In recent years,the metal complexes based on rigid ligands weregiven more and more attention due to their versatile,novel structures andpotential applications. In these polymers, we have obtained1D,2D and3D infinite networks by using multicarboxylate ligands and metal ions.Hydrogen bonds and uncovalent weak interactions play an importantroles in the formation of the networks.1,3,5-Benzenetricarboxylic acid(H3BTC) and1,2,4,5-Benzenetetracarboxylic acid(H4BETC) are thetypical rigid multi-carboxylate ligands.In this work we summarized the study of rigid multi-carboxylateligands complexes. We have synthesized fourteen unreported transitionmetal complexes by hydrothermal, diffution reaction, which werechatacterized by single-crystal X-ray diffraction, elemental analysis, IR.We also studied the thermogravimetric analysis for (1)4,(5),(11).There are four chapters in this dissertation:In the first chapter,the research status of coordination polymers aresystemically introduced concisely at home and abroad, as well as thereseach significance and the results of this thesis.In the second chapter, eight transition metal complexes weresynthesized by using1,3,5-Benzenetricarboxylic acid ligand andtransition metal salts.2,2’-bipyridine was also selected as the secondligand.[ZnNa2(BTC)(H2O)(OH)]n(1),[Co1.5(BTC)(2,2’-bpy)1.5(H2O)4]·2H2O (2),[Mn3Na(BTC)2(H2O)16(OH)]n(3),{[Zn1.5(BTC)(H2O)4]·H2O}n(4),{[Zn(HBTC)(2,2’-bpy)(H2O)]·5H2O}n(5),[Cu(BTC)(2,2’-bpy)4]·Cl·(2,2’-bpy)0.5·15H2O (6),[Pb2Na2(BTC)2(H2O)4]n(7)å'Œ[Cd0.75Na1.5(BTC)(H2O)4]n(8).These complexes have been characterized by infraredspectra,X-ray single crystal diffraction,thermogravimetricanalysis.Further more,we also studied the effect of hydrogen bond,Ï€-Ï€stacking and weak contact in the formation of the structure. In the third chapter,we also synthesized six complexes by using1,2,4,5-Benzenetetracarboxylic acid ligand and transition metal salts.4,4’-bipyridine was also selected as the second ligand.{[Cu (BETC)0.5]·3H2O}n(9),{[CuK2.(BETC)(H2O)2]·2H2O}n(10),{Mn(H2BTC)(4,4’-bipy)(OH)]·(4,4’-bipy)}n(11),{[Co4Na8(BETC)4(H2O)22]}n(12),{[Cu2(BETC)(H2O)2]·2H2O}n(13),[Cd0.75Na0.5(BETC)0.5(H2O)4]n(14).These complexes have been characterized by infraredspectra,X-ray single crystal diffraction,thermogravimetric analysis.In the fifth chapter, I summarize the achievements and defectssystematically in the dissertation, and put forward proposals andexpectations in the future.
